Yumi Tōma

Yumi Tōma (冬馬 由美 Tōma Yumi born December 20, 1966) is a Japanese voice actress and singer. She is probably best known for the voices of Urd, Norn of the past in Oh my Goddess! and Yui Hongo in Fushigi Yūgi. Along with other anime roles like An/Natsumi Ginga in Sailor Moon R, Maria Louise in Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Sylphiel Nels Lahda in the Slayers series, Mikhail in Steel Angel Kurumi, Helba in the .hack series, Suppie in Cardcaptor Sakura, Hinako Ninomiya in Ranma 1/2 & is also known to video game fans as the voices of Lei Fang in Dead or Alive, Isabella "Ivy" Valentine in Soul Cailbur and Ling Xiaoyu in Tekken.

In the world of dubbing she is the main dub voice of Kim Ha-neul, Sarah Wynter and Charlie Yeung. Other notable dubbing roles include Rose DeWitt Bukater in the NTV dub of Titanic, Vesper Lynd in the TV Asahi dub of Casino Royale, Black Widow in the TV Asahi dub of Iron Man 2, Natalie in Love Actually, Mal Cobb in the TV Asahi dub of Inception, Norma Jean in Happy Feet, Young Master in The Brave Little Toaster, Betty Drapper on Mad Men, and Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon.

  • As of October 13, 2006, Tōma was listed by Wikipedia and Anime News Network as the second most prolific female Japanese voice actor, with 179 roles credited to her name. So it wouldn't be surprising to find some Transformers roles in the mix....
